Jon Gosselin Finds New Job as Construction Worker - The Celebrity Cafe.com Posted: Katelyn Helgemoe Earlier this week, Jon Gosselin was spotted in a hard hat while working at his new construction job with Green Point Energy in Pennsylvania. According to TMZ, the former computer technician just recently began working for Green Point Energy, a company specializing in renewable energy. The 33-year-old father of eight and former star of TLC's Jon and Kate Plus 8, had been out of work for months before landing his current job, installing solar panels on the roof of storage buildings, reports Us Magazine. When Gosselin split from wife Kate in 2009, he was already showing signs of money trouble. "Jon is selling his BMW to raise cash until he gets a job. He's hoping to get $25,000 for it," a source said last April. Broxton seeks closure, Willis aim for Cincy 'pen - MySanAntonio Posted: Jonathan Broxton is looking for a little closure. After a poor second half last year that cost him his job as the Los Angeles Dodgers closer, Broxton is eager to rebound. New manager Don Mattingly is confident he will and has already restored Broxton to his ninth-inning role. "Looking at his whole body of work, I have confidence that he's going to bounce back and do what he's done the majority of his career," Mattingly said Friday at spring training in Glendale, Ariz. "I don't think he's a headcase. I think it's happened to a lot of guys." Dontrelle Willis is hoping for a new start, too, as a reliever for the Cincinnati Reds. The former NL Rookie of the Year who helped Florida win the 2003 World Series and later was a 22-game winner had been cut from his seventh team in two seasons when an old friend called. Reds manager Dusty Baker wanted to chat with Willis, who struggled in the majors and minors last year. Baker's wife knew Willis when he was a child. "He just told me he wanted me to come play for him," Willis said. "It was pretty straightforward. I was congratulating him on a great season and the turnaround by the Reds, and he basically said, 'Be quiet. We want you.' "I said I'd give it a shot." A lot of familiar names are in different spots this season. Vladimir Guerrero, Vernon Wells and Carl Crawford all moved around the American League. Guerrero left AL champion Texas and signed with Baltimore. The nine-time All-Star hit .300 with 29 homers and 115 RBIs last season, but the market dried up for him over the winter. The Orioles appeared to be the only team bidding for Guerrero, who will be their cleanup hitter and DH. "I've only been here a couple days, so I haven't had a chance to meet a lot of people here. But the people I have met, I've been feeling that. I've been feeling very much at home, they are like family here," Guerrero said through his agent, Fernando Cuza, who served as a translator. "Hopefully, God willing, I'm going to have a healthy, productive year," Guerrero said. "I'd like to stay in the lineup like I did last year. If I stay in the lineup, I feel like I can be very productive." Wells won three Gold Gloves while playing center field with Toronto, and is now the left fielder for the Los Angeles Angels. "When you get to a position, a different position, you want to be the best at that position," he said. "If I'm going to end up playing left, I want to be the best left fielder in the game." The Angels have speedy youngster Peter Bourjos in center and nine-time Gold Glover Torii Hunter in right. "With Torii in right and Bourjos in center doing what he does and Vernon in left, we're going to control a lot of the baserunning aspects that were troubling to us at some points early in the year," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said. The Red Sox are real glad to have Crawford, especially after he ran wild against them. Crawford stole at least 46 bases in seven of his last eight seasons with Tampa Bay. He had 47 last year then agreed to a $142 million, seven-year contract with Boston as a free agent. His 62 swipes against the Red Sox are the most he's had against any team — they threw him out only four times. He went 6-for-6 during a game against Boston in 2009. Crawford laughed when it was suggested his steals total might drop because he can't victimize the Red Sox. "I try to get as many as I can every year," the four-time AL stolen base champion said. "That's my goal, to try to come out and put pressure on the other team and steal as many bags and try to get into scoring position."
