| Free Career-Focus Seminars at Working World Job Fair in ... - PRWeb Posted: 23 Apr 2010 12:02 AM PDT High-energy seminars teach job seekers to find a job in healthcare, avoid interview mistakes, and power through a tough job market Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 23, 2010 -- It's challenging to find work when the unemployment rate is 13 percent, which is why Working World magazine is hosting its Career Fair on April 29, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood. The theme is "Putting Los Angeles to Work." While job seekers meet with recruiters in the hotel ballroom, career-focus seminars will be held in an adjacent room throughout the afternoon. The goal is to educate and inspire those looking for work. They include, Brad Bucklin of CareerPro Resumes, Dianne Gubin, president of Tech-Exec partners and co-author of PowerLadder; Robbie Gluckson, executive director of the Premiere Oncology Foundation; and, Leila Bulling Towne, founder of the Bulling Towne Group, specializing in executive coaching and organizational development. This event is open to the public; however, business attire is required for all attendees. Companies who will be recruiting staff include: Big 5 Sporting Goods, CHP, California Hospital Medical Center, City of L.A. Community Development, Colonial Life, Donor Services, Glendale Memorial Hospital, L.A. County Sherrif's Medical Dept., LAPD, Los Robles Hospital, Prudential, Riverside Community Hospital, Sears, Metropolitan Water District, Time Warner Cable, West Hills Hospital, Zenith Insurance, and many more. Working World is a Los Angeles-based job opportunities magazine and website. The magazine was founded in 1988 in Catherine Rhodes's studio apartment. It is published 19 times per year and distributed free to a network of red newsracks throughout greater Los Angeles. The website features job postings, vocational career listings and an archive of career-related articles.
